Pascale
Duguay lives in Drummondville, Quebec. Raised in a
French household and educated in English, she likes to
think of herself as Frenglish. Her childhood interests
were split equally between sports and books. Although
her sporting pursuits have slowed somewhat over the years,
her love of the written word has taken on gigantic proportions.
Thankfully, her waist size did not follow suit!
Pascale holds a Bachelor of Arts in translation
from the Université de Montréal. Most of
the jobs she has held over the years have had a connection
to writing. While doing freelance translating, she has
worked as a library clerk, ESL teacher, and children’s
bookseller. Having since discovered a passion for writing
her own stories, she can now add writer to the list.
Pascale writes for both children and adults.
Her English short stories and articles have appeared in
Zamoof! Magazine, Children’s Writer, Children's
Writer eNews, Hopscotch, Vegetarian Baby and Child Magazine,
On the Line, and Brio. She is a member of
the Society of Children’s Book Writers and Illustrators,
and of the Quebec Writers' Federation.
