Ms. Reade runs a lively school library. Every day, book returns thump, keyboards click, printers screech, pages rustle, DVDs blare, teachers chatter, children giggle, and Adam asks a million questions.

The town mayor loves libraries. "They're so peaceful and quiet," he thinks. But this well-meaning library lover has a surprise coming to him, on the fateful day he visits. He decides there is too much noise in the library!

This twist on a classic folktale reminds us all of the importance of the true spirit of the library—and all its joyful noise!

The repetition in the story is fun for participation.
